Abstracts

Abstract Submission Guidelines
We invite clinicians and researchers to submit their scientific work for presentation at the 31st Annual VDAEPC Meeting 2027 in Berlin.

Abstract Format
The abstract should be factual, concise and focused on the key aspects and findings of the submitted work.

Please structure your abstract using the following headings:

  • Background: Briefly describe the scientific context and relevance of the study.
  • Objectives: Clearly state the purpose of the study and, where applicable, the primary hypothesis.
  • Methods: Describe the study design, setting, study population or sample, and the methods used to collect and analyse the data.
  • Results: Present the principal findings, including relevant statistical results where appropriate.
  • Conclusions: Summarise the significance and implications of the results.
Title and Author Information
  • The title should be clear, concise and specific to the subject of the abstract.
  • The full names and institutional affiliations of all authors must be provided.
  • One author must be designated as the presenting and corresponding author.
  • A current email address must be provided for the corresponding author.
  • All listed authors must have contributed to the submitted work and approved the final abstract.
Language and Style
  • Abstracts must be submitted in clear and comprehensible English.
  • Abbreviations should be avoided where possible.
  • When an abbreviation is used, the term must be written out in full when first mentioned.
  • Product or brand names should be avoided unless they are essential to the scientific content.
  • References, tables and figures should not be included in the abstract.
Scientific and Ethical Requirements
  • The submitted work must be original and scientifically accurate.
  • Authors are responsible for the accuracy of all information provided.
  • Potential conflicts of interest and sources of financial support must be disclosed.
  • Research involving human participants or animals must comply with the applicable ethical and institutional requirements.
  • Any required ethical approval and informed consent must have been obtained before submission.
Review and Acceptance
All submitted abstracts will be reviewed by the Scientific Committee. The presenting author will be informed of the acceptance or rejection of the abstract after completion of the review process.
The Scientific Committee reserves the right to determine whether an accepted contribution will be included in the congress programme.

Congress Registration
Following acceptance, the presenting author must complete the paid congress registration within 14 days of receiving the acceptance notification.
The registration fee must be paid in full within this period. If registration and payment are not completed within 14 days, the abstract may be withdrawn from the congress programme.

Publication in Aesthetic Surgery Journal
Selected abstracts will be considered for publication in Aesthetic Surgery Journal (ASJ).
Only accepted abstracts for which the presenting author has completed congress registration and paid the registration fee in full within 14 days of acceptance will be forwarded for publication consideration.
Acceptance for presentation at the congress does not automatically guarantee publication. Publication remains subject to the applicable editorial and scientific requirements of Aesthetic Surgery Journal.
